As a Service Excellence WSQ trainee, you will receive comprehensive customer service training that promises to raise your service standards and help equip you with the skills to take on a wide range of service related jobs.

As an employer, you’ll want your service staff to Go the Extra Mile for your customers and drive business with the skills gained from this industry-validated training framework.

In September 2006, "Provide GEMS Service", a Service Excellence WSQ module, was adopted as a core training module to raise service levels in anticipation of the IMF/Worldbank event.  30,000 IMF service staff received training under this programme.

Service Excellence WSQ has also been adopted by the GEMS Up movement as a capability development programme that enables companies and individuals to further upgrade their service capabilities.

Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:

» Prepare mentally & physically to provide “extra mile service”
» Increase confidence in serving the customers
» Apply effective communication techniques
» Understand the types of service behaviours that truly make an exceptional difference to the customer

» Prepare for GEMS Service by adopting the right mindset and the qualities of an excellent service professional
» Identify internal and external customers' needs and understand the value of GEMS to the organisation and self
» Go beyond first impressions by identifying one’s service touch points and customers' needs and expectations
» Communicate effectively with the customer
» Identify options and take action to go the extra mile for customers
» Handle customer complaints and objections in a calm and professional manner
