The WSQ Kitchen Crew Programme is a 7 days course that prepares candidates for jobs in the culinary scene. During this course, participants will learn about basic culinary skills and follow a safe and hygienic working practice of a kitchen crew. They will be trained in various hands-on activities in a simulated kitchen setup.
Participants who have successfully demonstrated competence in all the knowledge and skills requirements will be awarded with the following WSQ Statement(s) of Attainment (SOA) awarded by SSG:
► Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures
► Maintain Safe and Secure Working Environment
► Prepare Mise En Place 1
► Maintain Food & Beverage Production Environment
► Be able to speak, read and write English or ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy level 4
► 18 years old and above (Singaporean male candidates must have completed or are exempted from National Service)
Full Course fee before SSG funding (inclusive GST)
Course fee after SSG funding * (Effective 1-Oct-2015)
After SSG funding (80% capped at $17/hr)- For Singapore Citizen/SPR- Aged 21 years and above(inclusive GST)
After SSG funding (90% capped at $25/hr) - For Singapore Citizen only- Aged 40 years and above(inclusive GST)
After SSG funding (95%)- For Singapore Citizen only- Aged 35 years and above- Monthly income of not more than $1900(inclusive GST)

80% of hourly basic salary capped at $4.5/hr

For company-sponsored trainees:
Sponsoring company must submit funding application for SSG Course Fee Support/ Absentee Payroll via the SkillsConnect system from 30 days before the course start date and up to 30 days after the course start date.
Eduquest is not liable if applicant fails to meet at least 75% attendance, does not complete the assessment /project (where applicable), or for any other reason where Course Fee Support/ Absentee Payroll funding is not submitted or approved. In this case, we will unfortunately have to, under SSG's regulation, charge your organisation the full fee for each participant.
